Terms of Service

Effective [effective date]

Welcome to ChoreoLink. These terms are an agreement between you and [ChoreoLink business name, e.g. ChoreoLink LLC] ("ChoreoLink," "we," "us"). By creating an account or using the site, you agree to them. If you're agreeing for a dancer under 18, you agree on their behalf and for yourself. Please also read our Privacy Policy.

1. What ChoreoLink is

ChoreoLink is a marketplace that helps dancers find and book independent choreographers for custom choreography, cleaning sessions, private lessons, and related services, in person or online. ChoreoLink doesn't teach or choreograph. Choreographers are independent professionals, not our employees or agents, and they decide how to do their work.

2. Accounts and ages

  • 18 and older: you can create your own account.
  • 13 to 17: you can create an account, but you can't book anyone until your parent or legal guardian approves your account. Your approved parent can see your bookings and messages.
  • Under 13: dancers under 13 can't create their own account. A parent or legal guardian creates and manages the account for them.
  • Give accurate information, including your real date of birth, and keep your password private. You're responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us right away at [contact email] if you think someone else is using it.

3. Choreographers

  • Choreographers join by invitation, and we review every profile before it goes live. We can decline or remove any profile.
  • You're responsible for your own services, prices, schedule, travel, taxes, insurance, and any licenses you need. What you list on your profile, including your experience and awards, must be true.
  • If you work with dancers under 18, you agree to any identity verification and background check we require before you can take those bookings, and to our safety rules in section 6.
  • Choreographers set their own prices. How much of each booking you receive (your payout rate) will be shown to you before you accept paid bookings: [payout terms to be confirmed before launch].

4. Bookings

  • A dancer (or their parent) chooses a package and sends a request. Some choreographers accept automatically ("instant book"). Others review each request and accept or decline it.
  • Travel requests ask a choreographer to come to you. They reply with availability and any travel costs, which you both agree on before the booking goes ahead.
  • Details about the piece, schedule, and delivery are between the dancer and choreographer, communicated through ChoreoLink.

5. Payments, fees, and cancellations

  • Dancers pay the choreographer's price plus a ChoreoLink booking fee, shown before you book. Payments are processed by our payment provider (Stripe) and are held until the work is delivered: [payment release terms to be confirmed].
  • Cancellations and refunds. Refunds go back to the card used to pay, through our payment provider.
    • Full refund until 48 hours after your intro call or 14 days before your first teaching session, whichever comes first.
    • Booking last minute? You always get at least 48 hours after paying to cancel for a full refund.
    • Cancelling within 48 hours of your intro call costs a $25 fee that goes to your choreographer. The rest is refunded.
    • Missing your intro call without cancelling: your booking stays active and you can rebook, but the card you paid with is charged a $25 missed-call fee, which goes to your choreographer.
    • Need to move your intro call? You can reschedule once for free with at least 48 hours' notice. If your choreographer misses the call, you choose a full refund or a free reschedule.
    • After that, bookings aren't refundable, because your choreographer has started creating your piece.
    • If your choreographer cancels, you get a full refund, booking fee included.
    • Privates and cleanings: move your lesson once for free, or cancel for a full refund, at least 48 hours before it starts. After that, or if you miss it, the lesson isn't refundable. Critiques and hype videos: full refund within 48 hours of paying.
    • Running late? Your choreographer waits 15 minutes before a call or lesson counts as missed.
    • For in-person visits, travel costs aren't refundable once your choreographer has booked their travel.
    • Refund windows are based on the intro call time and first session date your choreographer enters on the booking.
    • If you disagree about a cancellation or refund, contact us at [contact email] and ChoreoLink will decide.
  • Keep bookings and payments on ChoreoLink. Arranging to pay outside the site for someone you found here isn't allowed and removes the protections we provide.

6. Safety and conduct

  • Treat everyone with respect. No harassment, discrimination, threats, or inappropriate content.
  • Choreographers working with dancers under 18 keep all communication on ChoreoLink, don't ask a minor for personal contact information, and include the dancer's parent where our rules require it.
  • Don't share anyone else's personal information, upload content you don't have the right to use, or misuse the site.
  • Report anything that worries you to [contact email]. We may suspend or remove accounts that break these rules.

7. Your content

You own what you post, like your photos, bio, reels, and messages. You give ChoreoLink permission to host and display it so the site works, for example showing a choreographer's profile to dancers. Choreography created for a dancer belongs to [ownership of choreography to be confirmed].

8. Disclaimers and limits

Dance involves physical activity and some risk of injury. ChoreoLink provides the platform as is and isn't responsible for the services choreographers provide or for disputes between users, to the extent the law allows. Our total responsibility to you for any claim is limited to the fees you paid ChoreoLink in the 12 months before the claim: [liability terms for legal review].

9. Changes and ending your account

We may update these terms and will tell you about important changes. You can close your account at any time by contacting [contact email]. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.

10. Law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Questions? Email us at [contact email].
