This policy explains what information [ChoreoLink business name, e.g. ChoreoLink LLC] ("ChoreoLink") collects, how we use it, who can see it, and the choices you have. Many of our dancers are under 18, so we've built parents into how the site works. See also our Terms of Service.

What we collect

• Account details: email address, password (stored securely, never visible to us), your name, and account type.
• Dancer details: legal name, optional stage name, date of birth, and city.
• Parent details for dancers under 18: the parent or guardian's name and email, and whether they've approved the account.
• Matching answers: what the dancer is working toward, favorite styles, where they are in their dance journey, whether they want in-person or virtual sessions, and a ZIP code for in-person matching.
• Optional intro link: an Instagram or video link a dancer chooses to add.
• Optional dancer photos: a profile picture and a best dance photo. These are private: only the dancer, their parent, ChoreoLink, and choreographers the dancer books can see them.
• Bookings: the package, piece type, preferred dates, messages, and replies.
• Choreographer profiles: professional name, city, bio, headshot, best dance photo, reels, styles, awards, prices, home ZIP code, and how far they travel.
• Payments (once live): handled by Stripe. We don't store full card numbers.

How we use it

• To run your account, match dancers with choreographers, and handle bookings.
• To require parent approval for dancers under 18, and to keep dancers safe.
• To send account and booking emails, like confirmations and parent approval requests.
• To review choreographers before their profiles go live.

We don't sell personal information, and we don't show ads.

Who can see what

• Public: approved choreographer profiles (name, city, photo, bio, reels, styles, prices, and travel range).
• Dancer accounts are not public. Only the dancer, their approved parent, and ChoreoLink admins can see them.
• When a dancer books, that choreographer sees the dancer's first or stage name, city, age range (never their birthday), goal, intro link if they added one, and the booking details. They don't see the dancer's email, full date of birth, or ZIP code.
• ZIP codes stay private. Dancers see a choreographer's city and roughly how many miles away they are, never their ZIP.

Children under 13

Children under 13 can't create their own account. A parent or legal guardian creates and manages the account, and provides the child's information themselves. We collect only what's needed to match and book. A parent can review, change, or delete their child's information, or stop any further collection, by emailing [contact email]. Teens 13 to 17

Teens can create an account but can't book until a parent or guardian approves it. Once approved, the parent can see the teen's bookings.

Services we use

We share information only with companies that help run ChoreoLink, and only what they need:

• Supabase: secure database, sign-in, and file storage.
• Vercel: hosts the website.
• Resend: sends our emails.
• Stripe: processes payments and choreographer payouts (once live).
• Daily: runs the intro video calls inside ChoreoLink. Calls aren't recorded, and only the people on a booking can join.
• Zippopotam.us: turns a ZIP code into a map location for distance matching. Only the ZIP code is sent.

We may also share information if the law requires it or to protect someone's safety.

Cookies

We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.

Keeping and deleting your information

We keep your information while your account is open. To see, correct, or delete your information, or close your account, email [contact email]. We'll respond within [response time]. Some booking and payment records may be kept longer where the law requires.

Security

We protect information with encrypted connections and access rules that limit who can see each piece of data. No system is perfect, so please use a strong, unique password.
